Horizontal directional drilling

Horizontal directional drilling is an underground utility installation method developed in the 1980s, used in places where trenching or “open cut” installation is not feasible. Crossing rivers, roads, and environmentally sensitive areas is the most common HDD application. The specially designed HDD drilling rig is almost lying flat on the ground at a small angle and uses traditional drill rods to drill a guide hole under obstacles. Then remove the drill pipe and use the borehole for installing various public facilities such as fiber optic cables, water pipes, electrical wires, and oil and gas pipelines. My family began supplying drill pipes to the HDD industry in the early 21st century. Horizontal directional drilling also uses non-magnetic drill collars, heavy and rotary joints.
